Holy dust bunnies- it's been awhile since I've post on the old blog here!

I've been so busy with work, teenage girls, and life- that there seems to be less hours in the day lately!

I've also been busy coming up with new Crinkle Ribbon colors for my online store, 3 Girl JAM.

3GJ January Challenge

I went through so many bags over the holidays.  I sure wish I would have seen this file in the Silhouette Store about a month ago :)

 Nice thing is- I can use this bag for any occasion!

3 Girl JAM Design Team Call

3 Girl JAM is excited to announce our Design Team call for 2015! 

We are looking to add a few enthusiastic and organized crafters who love working with ribbon and other textured embellishments. We are looking for artists who love scrapbooking, card making, altered art, mixed media, and who love to share their passion with others! If you are excited to share your work and talk about 3 Girl JAM anywhere you can, then you may be the one for us!

We are looking for individuals who can offer the following:

* A Passion for Crafting!

* Strong Written Communication Skills

* Great Photography Skills

* Ability to Meet Deadlines

* An Updated and Active Blog

* Active Facebook Account

Design Team Expectations:

* 2-3 Projects/month to be posted on the 3 Girl JAM site and at your blog.

* Participation in Blog Hops and other promotions or challenges as requested (possibly once to twice per month)

* Participation on the 3 Girl JAM Facebook Page

* Design Team term will be from January 15, 2015 to July 31, 2015 with a possible extension through December 2015.

Compensation:

* Promotion of you and your work on the 3 Girl JAM site and Facebook Page

* Quarterly shipments of 3 Girl JAM products (or at new product releases!)

* 25% discount on purchases from 3 Girl JAM

Design Team Application:

 Please submit the following to 3girljam@gmail.com by Midnight CST, Dec 31, 2014:

* Your Name

* Mailing Address

* Email Address

* Phone Number

* Blog Name (and a link)

* In 1-2 paragraphs, tell us a little about yourself – your hobbies, how long you have been crafting, how you started crafting, what sets you apart from other crafters, and why you want to work with 3 Girl JAM as a Designer. We want to get to know you.

* A list of current obligations, current Design Teams, and past Design Teams, if applicable (please also include links to Guest Design Posts you have participated in, if applicable)

* Links to your Facebook profile- personal or blog page, You Tube account (if you have one), Instagram, and any other online social media you would be willing to use to promote 3 Girl JAM (twitter, pinterest, tumblr, flickr, etc)

* Attach or link 2-3 samples of your recent work (within the last 3 months) which best showcases your style. 3 Girl JAM products are not required (but we do love to see them!)

Please tell us a little background about each sample and include supplies used. This can be in the body of your email application or in a blog post you've completed.

*Please attach photos of the projects to your submission email or provide links to the images online.

The 3 Girl JAM Design Team will be announced on January 15, 2015.

Back to School Time!

Hi Everyone!

It's August- so that means it's Back to School time!

This Summer has flown by and I can't believe my sweet girls will be in 8th Grade this year!

Where does the time go??

I made the first of many cards for school.

This one was super quick and easy and the good thing- it can be used for anything school related- not just back to school!

I used the Red and Blue Crinkle Ribbon from the Red, White, and Blue Bundle as a backdrop for the school name.

Projects are quick with the Cameo print and cut feature (Love this feature!!).

One of my favorite things in the world.....

FOOD!!

This month is all about the food or food related things that we love.

 Isn't this the cutest!?!

I used my Silhouette Cameo's print and cut feature to make everything on this card (except the 3 Girl JAM Ribbon).

The background paper, sentiment, butterfly, and the ant were all done with the Cameo.

I love to print and cut!

Summer Fun

Hi Everyone!

My goodness, it's been a long time since I've posted on my dusty little blog!

Things have been crazy busy for me.  My girls have entered into "the teenage years", work is hectic as ever, and now that school is officially out for the Summer- the real fun is about to begin!

We've already got the bikes ready for Summer riding, have camps lined up for a couple weeks, and my work schedule is quickly filling up with fairs and festivals to inspect (my day job is inspecting food and restaurants for the State of IA).

We're hoping to be able to take a few small weekend vacations this Summer- but we'll see where everything else takes us!

I did manage to get into my craft room for a little bit to help me get in the Summer mood!

Cherish Today

Hi Everyone!

Today is my last post as a designer for Linnie Blooms. (sad face)

I've had a great time on this team!  Linda- thank you so much for having me!!

Mixed media has always been something that I saw (and loved) but thought, "I'll never be able to do something like that".

Working with the Linnie Blooms shapes and canvas blanks definitely brought me out of my crafting comfort zone- and I am so thankful for it!

I have learned a ton of new techniques- and made some new friends while I was at it!

Here is my project using the Linnie Canvas Blank, canvas circles, and canvas hearts.

 

One of the new techniques I learned is working with alcohol inks.

I made the flower out of aluminum foil and colored it and the canvas blank and shapes with my new alcohol inks.

I finished my project off with some 3 Girl JAM ribbon.  (There may even be a little sneak peek of something new coming to 3GJ soon!)

What I've Been Working on...

Hi Everyone- Julie here today!

I've been so busy making Christmas Cards and Christmas gifts over the past few weeks and now that I'm all done I'm not quite sure what to do with my time!

I just finished sending out around 40 Christmas cards to family and friends.

(Maybe yours is in this pile!)

Super Hero Treat Bag

Hi Everyone!

Just a quick post to share a quick and simple treat bag that I made.

I used a paper bag that I bought.  To it I added a Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Scalloped Circle (that I stretched into an oval) and folded it over to make a bag topper.

I added some Pink by Design sentiments and a Red and Blue 3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon Bow with some 3 Girl JAM Super Hero Flair (graphics by Pretty Papers, Pretty Ribbons).

Easy Peasy- and super cute for my favorite little Super Star!
