How to turn off Comment Word Verification

Hi Everyone!
I love to comment on other people's blogs!
It makes me happy to hop from one person to the next gawking and stalking trying to come up with project ideas spreading sunshine and smiles!
I do not, however, enjoy entering in nonsensical words in order to stalk spread my sunshine and smiles.
What's a"inkeri" or a "bezed"?
I know what a  "cycast" is- No I don't!
What the Heck!

So- for anyone who gets as easily irritated as I do- and who would like to know how to turn off their own word verification-- Here are simple instructions:

1.  Go to your Blog Dashboard
2.  Settings
3.  Comments
4.  Scroll down to "Show word verification for comments?"
5.   Click "No".  (Please for the Love of sunshine and smiles- click "No"!)
6.  Make me happy.  You're done!

If you want to moderate your comments, you can do that just above where you clicked "No" in the "Comment Moderation" section.

Thank you for indulging me on my little rant.  I would still have my Word Verification on if some other irritated blogger hadn't posted the shut off instructions at one point on their blog!  Hope this helps.
:)

Recipe Album

Hi Everyone!
I hope your weekend was wonderful!  Mine was great!!
Saturday morning my husband and I put up new curtains in our living room.  They turned out beautifully!  I feel like we finally have an "adult" living room.  (Now if we could just keep the kids out of it- LOL!)
Saturday afternoon, I spent several hours taking a class at my local scrapbook store- Memory Bound Scrapbook.  I LOVE this store.  Everytime I go, there is something new.  The store is big and organized and the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable.  I could spend hours there!
The class I took was called " A Taste of Home Recipe Album".  We made a cute 6"x6" album, using Kaiser Craft products, to hold recipes.  The instructor, Janet, was wonderful and the other ladies in the class were so much fun!
Here's some pictures of my album:

I have to write up some recipes now and add them to the album.  I also plan to make a couple more for Christmas gifts.
I have never made anything like this before.  I was so proud of myself!
I took a Cricut class about 6 months ago, but have never taken any other type of crafting class.  I was nervous to go because I'm really shy around people I don't know.  The funny thing is- once I got there, I felt totally comfortable with the people around me.  We all had a bond and a love for crafting and I felt right at home.  If you're like me (very shy in social situations), I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and take a class or get involved in a crafting group.  I am definitely going to try to find a group that I can get involved with- and take more classes.
I'm hooked!

Simply SundayChallenge: Penned

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to the Simply Sunday Challenge with Getting Cricky with K Andrew.
Today's challenge is Penned: Using pens in your project.
Summertime always makes me think of the 4th of July and the 4th of July makes me think of the American Flag.
I was very excited about this challenge because I love to doodle and draw and I love gel pens!
I however, do Not like to draw with gel pens because I am a perfectionist with my drawing and you can Not erase gel pen ink!

So my friends, the fabulous Cricut to the rescue.....
I used my new Amy Chomas gel pens and gel pen holder for my Cricut Expression to draw out this cute American flag from the Cricut Lite Cupcake Wrapper cartridge.
I started out with some plain white cardstock and used a charcoal colored gel pen for the drawing and some muted markers were added for color on the design.

The red and blue background was cut from the Elegant Edges cartridge.
The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs Splashtastic Summer stamp set.

So everyone- use your imagination and creativity- grab a pen and join the fun!

Smooth Sailing

Hi Everyone!
A quick post tonight to show you all a very quick card. When I say quick- I mean it took about 10 minutes to make!

This paper is all from the DCWV Nantucket Stack!
I cut out the Ship Image from one of the pages, and layered it on top of another page.
I stamped the "Smooth Sailing" sentiment, inked the edges, and ALL DONE!
The sentiment is from the newest stamp line from K Andrew Designs (go check them out!).

My Craft Room!

Hi Everyone!
I worked all afternoon organizing my craft room.  I think I am finally about done (I'd say 90% done!).
It's clean right now, so I thought I'd take some pictures so everyone could see!
Avery, Mackenzie, and My space

My computer that the awesome Mr. Bling built for me, hooked up SCAL2, and made sure it was all working!

I would love to see your craft room!

Simply Sunday Challenge- Faces

Hi Everyone!
This week's Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky with K Andrew is Face It! Using faces in your projects (stamped, hand drawn, diecut, etc)
I just got some Peachy Keen stamps- my very first set!  They are just the cutest things I've ever seen!

This is an A-2 size card.
I used the Create a Critter cartridge and my Gypsy (to hide the cuts on the faces), and cut out these little piggies at 2.75 inches.
I changed the nose on the stamp just a bit to make it look like a pig.
The sentiment is from the K Andrew Designs Fashionable Friends stamp set.

Have a great day.
