Grateful Colors

Hi Everyone!

Today starts the final week to get your projects in at the latest
3 Girl JAM Challenge.

This is a color themed challenge.

Aren't these colors great!?!
The nice thing is they can be Autum colors or Christmas colors- it all depends on how you look at it!

Here is my project:

I used a file from The Cutting Cafe- who is generously sponsoring a $15.00 gift certificate to their store for the challenge winner!
I accented the ribbon with some Creative Inspirations Paint in Rust

Make sure to link up your own project HERE by next Friday.

Happy Black Friday!

Hi Everyone!!

I hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday with family and friends.

The girls and I (along with hubby) spent the day at my Dad's house with my Uncle, my brother's family, and my sister who drove 10 hours to be with us.

It was a great day!

Today however, I am braving the crowds and hunting down the best deals.
I spent some time on-line Wed. night/Thurs. morning- did you know you can get a lot of the Black Friday deals on-line that early!?!
I already got 75% of the things I wanted and didn't even have to leave my chair.
Wa-Hoo!

In honor of my love of shopping, I have a Black Friday deal for all of you!

3 Girl JAM Aqua Splash Crinkle Ribbon, *New* Christmas Flair Buttons, and

Not a Card

Hi Everyone!

Have you made a project this week which includes your favorite pattern?

At Pink by Design, we are working with our favorite patterns and would love for you to link up your projects.

I have been in Chevron Heaven!

Today we are making "anything but a card" to help you with ideas to get you out of your comfort zone.
(I'm very comfortable making cards!)

I do like to make notebooks- they are actually one of my favorite things.
I think every woman needs to have a fancy notebook to carry with her.

Here's one of my favorites.

Laptop Decorating

Hi Everyone!

I got a little crafty last night and actually made something just for me!

Lisa from Pretty Papers, Pretty Ribbons made a cut file of my 3 Girl JAM logo- and I've been dying to use it on just the right thing.
I also had some Square 1 sitting in a box that I got (ages ago) from Sarah Hamer.

Put it all together and looky looky--

LOVE!

Linking this up to Sarah's Tuesday Link Up Party!

Stamping with Markers on Wood

Hi Everyone!

This week is all about using your favorite pattern over at Pink by Design.

My favorite pattern- the one I reach for the most- is Chevron.
:0)

Patterned paper is fun, but sometimes you just have to stamp your pattern.
And stamping on paper is always fun, but sometimes it's good to shake things up a bit!

Today I have a little tip and tutorial for you on how to stamp with markers on wood.

First you'll want to prime your wood.  Make sure to coat it with something so your ink will not run and bleed into the wood.  I chose to use Creative Inspiration Paint for my base.  (I love this paint!)

Once it's all painted: admire the beauty while it dries :)

When you are ready to stamp, place  your stamp on a solid surface. (I used an acrylic block.)
Then ink up your stamp.  You can use any type of ink.  I wanted a muted and almost distressed look to go along with the antiqued look of my wooden tag so I used Spectrum Noir Markers.  I just started using them and they are my FAVORITE!  My poor Copics looked on with envy.

As soon as your stamp is inked up, place your wood piece on top of your stamp and apply pressure by rubbing over the surface of the wood.

Flip it over to see whatcha got!

Exactly what I was going for!

Here is my finished project:
