You are Amazing!

Hi Everyone!
Cleo's awake and ready to craft- So....

Here's a card we made today.
She's such a good little helper- when she's not laying on my paper and  knocking over my projects!  (Or sleeping!)

This is a 5"x5" card.
The shape is cut from Elegant Edges at 4.5".  The flowers are drawn in with my Cricut Markers, and the sentiments are from K Andrew Designs "Amazing You" stamp set.
This stamp set is fantastic!  You can mix and match and come up with your own sayings- Perfect for capturing whatever you want to express.
A portion of each sale goes to benefit Doorways for Women & Families ( an organization helping those escape and survive domestic violence).  Currently this set is out of stock (very popular!)- but you can still place an order!!  Don't delay!

Make sure you come back tomorrow for the Getting Cricky Blog Hop!

Thanks for stopping by!

I'm sleepy.
I'm just gonna close my eyes for a......

I think she's got the right idea!

I am a Fashion-ista!

Hi Everyone!
I hope you are all having a fantastic Sunday!
My Sundays are filled with going to church in the morning, coming home and reading the paper (always have to check the store ads to see if there are any deals I can't live without), and then the rest of the day is spent with my family.  Usually we end up doing some kind of shopping (which is fine with me!)- and there is almost always some kind of craft shopping involved (which is even better with me!).
This afternoon, I will be going to my local scrapbook store to pick up some Iowa State Cyclone (I'm more of a Hawkeye fan!) and some Minnesota Twins paper- to do a quick project for a friend of mine.
Needless to say-- I LOVE to SHOP!!

This weeks Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky with K Andrew is all about the Fashion-ista!
I think to some extent we all have a little Diva in us!!

I made my card with shopping in mind (I was looking forward to the weekend!).
I used my K Andrew Designs Fashionable Friends stamp set for the sentiments, and the DCWV All About Girls stack for the background paper.
The shopping Chica was cut from Cricut Car Decals and colored in to give her a little more character.
Then, I sparkled her up with some Sakura Starburst Gelly Roll Gel Pen and added some Bling-- because, as your inner Fashion-ista will tell you...
Everything is better with A Little Bit of Bling!

Please make sure you link up your project at Getting Cricky this week, and make sure you check out all of the Design Team's projects and try to go to all of the other link ups too!
Do it- it will be Fabulous!

Happy Birthday Auntie!

Hi Everyone!
Just a quick post today.
My Aunt's birthday was July 3 and I made a card to let her know how special she is to me.  She is my Mom's sister and has always been like a 2nd mother to me.
I love you Aunt Mary!

The Sentiment is from K Andrew Designs Positive Thoughts (I LOVE this set!).
The stamped image is from Adam Pescott.  I colored it in with Sakura Gelly Roll Glaze gel pens and Le Plume Markers.
The image is attached to a paper doily that I bought at Michaels and inked it up for some color.
The background paper is My Minds Eye Totally Girl Stack.
The best part:  it took about 20 minutes to make!  Cut, punch, stamp, ink, and glue!

Have a great night!
Thanks for stopping by!

Simply Sunday: Summer Fun!

Hi Everyone!
It's Simply Sunday time again, and this weeks challenge at Getting Cricky with K Andrew is all about Summer Fun!
My Summers kind of stink.
I am always so busy with work, that when I get a day off (after all the housework, cooking, laundry, etc. is done), I just want to sit around and do nothing.  I'm a Health Inspector for the state of IA (my day job!) and while everyone else is out enjoying the fairs and festivals, I'm there too- but I'm checking the food vendors to make sure that they are handling your corndogs and cotton candy safely!    I love my job, but during the Summer, instead of being at the "Sweet Corn Festival"- I'd much rather be on the beach with my kids (I'd much rather be anywhere else quite honestly).
But enough of my whining......

Happy thoughts....

I loved making this card.  It was very therapeutic for me.
This is a 5"x5" card.  The background was embossed with the Cuttlebug and Swiss Dots folder.
I cut the flower shape using the Cricut Elegant Edges cartridge.
The cute little girl stamp is Prima brand that I colored in with Gelly Roll gel pens and Le Plume markers.
The sentiment is from K Andrews Designs Splashtastic Summer.
If you do not have any of Kristal's stamps yet- they need to go on your "Must Have" list, because they are fabulous!!

So now it's your turn to join in on the fun!  Link up with Getting Cricky and share your Summer Fun creations!

Thanks for stopping by!
