Christmas Gift Blog Candy Winner!

Hi Everyone!

I hope everyone had a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
I enjoyed Thanksgiving with my Husband's Father and Aunts and Uncles.  There were lots of people and tons of food!!

Friday was spent shopping- I bought a Cricut Imagine (love it!), a pink tulip Ott Light (super cute!), and a bunch of Jet Max storage (needed it!), as well as many Christmas gifts.
Saturday was spent lounging around until about 2pm when it was time to get ready to go see Wicked!

Here's a photo of my Girlies and me getting ready to leave the house.

We went out to eat at a "fancy" restaurant where I told the girls to not be on "good behavior" but be on their "best behavior".
The waitress was so impressed with the girls that she bought them dessert.
They were thrilled!
Wicked was Incredible!  I want to see it again!

Sunday was church and family time and today is a chill day for me.

I want to thank everyone who stopped by my blog this weekend for the Christmas Gifts Blog Hop.  Weren't everyones projects fantastic!  I love seeing such creativity, and it was a pleasure to be a part of it.

Christmas Gift Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!

Today is the Christmas Gift blog hop with Becka from Creations with Becka (link to my blog- creationswithbecka.blogspot.com).  If you came from Becka's Blog then you are in the right place, if you just stopped by please start at the beginning of the hop at Creations With Becka.
Today is going to be a fun day of great ideas for homemade Christmas gifts for the special people in your lives, like family, friends, co-workers and teachers.   We thought it would be a great idea since times are rough to showcase all the different presents you can make at home and for little money. Plus, I think homemade presents are the best, because they really show how much you care and how much thought and effort you put into them.

Grandparents love their Grandkids, and kids love Christmas ornaments (At least mine do!), so I thought I would be great to make my Mother an ornament with my Girl's picture in it!

I bought a pack of glass ornaments from Hobby Lobby and printed out a photo of my girls.  I rolled up the photo and stuck it inside the ornament (Using a little adhesive on the corner to make it stick).  Then I sprayed a little adhesive spray inside the ornament and sprinkled in some glitter and shook it around.  (Thanks Sarah Hamer for the great idea!)  I then took some 3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon and attached it at the top.  I also made the box by taking 2 pieces of 12"x11" piece of cardstock (one for the bottom and one for the top) and scored them at 3" and 9" and turned it and scored again at 3" and 9", taped the edges together and covered it in pretty cardstock.  The flower was cut from the Cricut Flower Shoppe cartridge (my favorite!).
Easy Peasy!!
I have some blog candy for one lucky follower.

Your next stop is Dana!
Here is a complete list of all stops in case you get lost along the way. Please make sure you comment and each blog so you can win Becka's grand prize for the hop.

A Shrinky Dink Mini Card

Check out my Daughter's post and Giveaway HERE.

Hi Everyone!

I have a quick Thanksgiving mini card to show off!

This is a 4" square card.
The sentiment is from Inkadinkado.
The Harvest ribbon is 3 Girl JAM.
The Turkey is a SHRINKY DINK!
I used Shrinky Dink material and cut the turkey at 4" from Celebrate with Flourish.  I colored it in with colored pencils and popped it in a 350* oven for 90 seconds.

So fun!
We were shrinky dink making fools at our house!
I remember doing them as a kid so it was really fun to see the excitement on my girls' faces when they did their first one.

3 Girl JAM

Stop by each blog and leave a comment for her and end up at 3 Girl JAM for your chance to win 2 bundles of your choice of Hand dyed Crinkle Ribbon! (Mackenzie's idea!)

A little bit about Mackenzie (Written by her!)

Hi!  My name is Mackenzie.  I am 10 years old and in 5th Grade.  I live in Iowa (and it's great)!  I love cheese.  I have a twin sister named Avery, 3 cats, a no crafty Dad, and a very crafty Mother.  I play the piano, like to craft, ride my bike, shop at craft stores (but not grocery stores- they're the worst!), and play with my friends.
I got to meet Paula back in July.  She's like, famous, and awesome!
Love you Paula!!

I hope you like my Thanksgiving card!!

Mackenzie used Inkadinkadoo Stamps and Perfect Pearls to create the images and used 3 Girl JAM Harvest Orange ribbon as an accent.

Seasons Greetings

Hi Everyone!

I started making Christmas cards yesterday.
I don't really want to start with Christmas until Thanksgiving is over, but I also really need to get started or I will run out of time!

I love how this card turned out.
I was super simple and quick!

I used the Scandinavian Christmas Cards Cartridge to cut the image at 4".
The background paper is Lost  Found Christmas Stack
"Season's Greetings" is from Pink by Design Old Time Christmas
AND the Hot Chocolate Crinkle Ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM!

My First Layout!

Hi Everyone!

Today I am sharing my very first Layout- Ever!

I had no idea what I was doing and had no plan when I started.  I just started inking paper and putting things down.  I have to say- I really like how it turned out.
I think I may even frame it and hang it on the wall.
:0)

I used the Teresa Collins Sophisticated Cartridge for the cuts.
The inking was done with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Worn Lipstick, Orange Marmalade, and  Iced Spruce.
All the ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.

You may notice some that is not in the store yet- it is NEW and not quite ready for sale (I'm testing it out- what do you think!?!?)

Thankful

Hi Everyone!

I can't believe that Thanksgiving is only 2 weeks away!

I love this time of year-- the colors of Autumn, the crisp cool air, the crunch of leaves as you walk across the yard, and the anticipation of the Holidays to come.

I am thankful for all of the blessings that have come my way this year.
I am thankful for the health of my family.
I am thankful for my Church and the family I have become a part of.
I am thankful for my "real life" friends and the friends I have made through this blog (you all know who your are!).
I am thankful for my job and my husband's job.
I am thankful for having a mind and 2 hands that allow me to be creative and expressive.

For this A2 size card, I used Inkadinkadoo 1" Stamps covered in Perfect Pearls.
I covered the entire stamped layer with Claudine Hellmuth Studio Multi-Meduim Gloss.  I LOVE Claudine! (I got to meet her back in September.  She is so sweet and her products are fantastic!)
The brown layer was embossed with the Tim Holtz Distressed Edges Sizzix folder and then wrapped with
Harvest Crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl JAM.
The stamped image layer was attached to the brown layer with 4 brads in the corners.

I love how this turned out!!

Hi Everyone!

Today is a the First Ever Wednesday Guest Designer Spotlight at
3 Girl JAM!

I thought it was fitting that the first "Guest Designers" be the Girls who make the magic happen!

What better way to start this out than with the 3 Girls of 3 Girl JAM!

"J" is for Julie (that's me!)
Here is a little sneak peek of a new product being made and "tested" right now!
I am starting to make all of my Christmas cards already!  I just got the new Scandinavian Christmas Cartridge- and I love it!!  There are super cute, and super easy cuts on this cartridge- a must have in my opinion.  I bought one, and since I love it so much-- I bought another one.  A giveaway in the near future??  I think so.....

"A" is for Avery
Featuring "Hot Chocolate" Crinkle Ribbon and Vintage Buttons
Avery is 10 years old and very creative!  She whipped this up in about 20 minutes!  She even tied her own bow!

"M" is for Mackenzie
Featuring "Ice Blue" Crinkle Ribbon
Mackenzie is my other 10 year old!  She is also super creative- and a bit of a perfectionist!  Mackenzie likes to use inks and stamps and does a fantastic job of coordinating colors!

Fall Wreath

Hi Everyone!

I made a Fall Themed wreath about a month ago and FINALLY got it hung up on my front door!

Why do I put off doing things that are so easy to do!?!

I wanted to make sure I hung it up in the Fall- before the snow starts to fly here.  Since I heard that it may snow in the next day or so- I figured I better get my rear in gear and hang it up!

I love how this wreath turned out- and I love it even more now that it's hanging on my front door!

This was made entirely from the DCWV Harvest stack.  If you are a fan of Autumn- you must get this paper.  It's beautiful.

The bottom layer large paper cones are 6" squares rolled into a cone shape and hot glued onto a cardboard wreath shape.
The next layer is made with 4.5" squares rolled into cones and hot glued on to the bottom layer.
All the flowers were cut with the Cricut Flower Shoppe cartridge.
I wrapped some Hand Dyed Crinkle Ribbon throughout the wreath and tied it into a little bow.
