Altered Notebook

Hi Everyone!

I'm taking a little break from my usual card making.

I've had an idea brewing in my head for a few days so I decided to just try it.

I made a notebook!
Not just any notebook though...
I've had some Ranger Studio Sticky Back Canvas for awhile.  I've been hoarding it trying to come up with just the right project.

Once I got my Imagine I wanted to use the print function to print out a fun background on the canvas (don't try to cut the canvas with the Cricut- it won't work!).  I used the Hopscotch Cartridge for all 3  pieces of canvas (which are stuck to a piece of chipboard).
I stamped a Pink By Design sentiment (from the Jan. Stamp of the Month Club), used the Cinch to bind it together, and finished it off with some 3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon.

Here's a close up (and if you click the image it will get even larger) so you can see the texture of the canvas.

Look what Happens When I Don't have a Plan!

Hi Everyone!

Yesterday I was sitting in my craft room and wanted to make a card but had no idea what to do.  I started looking through my Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge (which is Awesome btw!) but still had no ideas.  I saw alot of cute cuts and decided to just cut a few out.  Since I didn't want to waste any of my "pretty paper" I just used plain cream colored cardstock.
When I was done "playing"  I decided to practice my inking- because I still had no ideas forming in my head!
Once everything was inked, I looked over at my pile of pieces and "magically" they were arranged perfectly!
I inked another piece of cardstock for a background, cut and embossed a piece of Kraft Cardstock, stamped a Pink By Design sentiment, added some 3 Girl JAM ribbon and buttons, and look what happened!!

Sometimes I make prettier things when I don't have a "plan"!  LOL!!

Since I want to show it off, I searched through all the challenge sites that I follow and found quite a few that this fits into!

That's quite the list!  I couldn't have made something on purpose to fit that many challenges if I tried!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Blends Join Hands Blog Hop!

** For the Show Me Your Craft Room Blog Hop click HERE

Hi Everyone!

Happy Blog-a-versary to my sweet Blend (blogger friend) Jessica of Jessica's Craft Shaque!
Jessica is hosting a super awesome blog hop today to celebrate and I am honored that she asked me to be a part of her special day.
There are fabulous prizes to be won throughout the hop- and- Jessica has some awesome sponsors to sweeten the pot!!
So start at the beginning so you don't miss a single thing!

Jessica asked all of us to go through her blog and find a project that she has done that inspired us.
That was easy for me!
Jessica was a Guest Designer for my other blog, 3 Girl JAM, (see that post HERE) and the project she did, totally inspired me.

She used Goblin Green Ribbon from the Spooky Bundle (for Halloween) on a Christmas card!
Heck- I make the ribbon and didn't even think to do that!
Jessica is so creative that way!  And that is only one reason why I think she is awesome!  She always has a kind word to say to everyone- and you can tell that she is honestly sincere in what she says and does.
Jessica- we would so totally be great friends in "real life"-- so if you're ever in Iowa, you need to look me up.  :0)

Here is the card I made for Jessica.

Girl- I just want to give you a big hug because you're so sweet!

I have a little blog candy in honor of Jessica's creative mind.
Two random people that comment below will each win a "Spooky Bundle" of 3 Girl JAM Hand Dyed Crinkle Ribbon!

Your next stop is my good Blend Carri!!

My Craft Room is in my basement.  It's kind of "dungeony" at times- but it's MY dungeon, and I like it!

This is the view when you walk in the room.  The couch is for Mr. Bling or whoever wants to come in and just hang out.
Miss Cleo is a permanent fixture in the craft room!
Storage of paper, ribbon, Cricut Cartridges, etc...
My computer, Expression, Imagine, and more storage!
Close up of Expression and Imagine stations.

And here's Cleo again- saying "Stop taking pictures and sit down.  I'm ready to get my Scrap On!"

Thinking of You

Hi Everone!

A quick post today to show off another image from the Cricut Imagine Good Old Days cartridge.
I am in love with this cartridge!
I love how I don't need to do anything except print, cut, and put it on a background.
This card seriously took less then 10 minutes to make!

I made it for my Dad's Girlfriend who just had knee surgery.  Less than a week and she's already making a great recovery.
She'll be dancing in no time!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Monster Dookie Dough Dip

Hi Everyone!

That's right--
It's like cookie dough (no raw eggs) and a dip--
all in ONE batch of deliciousness!!

I saw this recipe over the weekend- and HAD to try it!
I LOVE Monster Cookies!  (Here's a link to my M.C. recipe.)
I love to eat them, I love to make them, and now--- I love to eat them by the spoonful and spread them on graham crackers!

Monster Cookie Dough Dip

Ingredients:
  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/2 c. Butter, softened
  • 1/2 c. Peanut Butter (at least)
  • 1-2 c. Powdered Sugar (even more if you really want it thick)
  • 3 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. AP Flour
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 1 c. Oats (more or less depending on desired texture)
  • 1 bag Plain M&Ms
  • 1 c. Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Directions:
  1. In a stand mixer, whisk the cream cheese, butter, and peanut butter until smooth.
  2. Whisk in the powdered sugar, starting with 1 cup (or 2 cups if you already know you want a thicker dip-- I like thick).
  3. Whisk in the brown sugar, flour, and vanilla.
  4. At this point, add in more peanut butter by 1/4 cups if you want a stronger PB taste.
  5. Using a paddle attachment or a wooden spoon, mix in the oats, M&Ms, and chocolate chips. Add more oats if desired (I think I did-- like I said, I like my dip really thick, just like cookie dough).
  6. Serve with pretzels, graham crackers, etc. You may want to provide a knife for "spreading" instead of "dipping" if you went the thick route!

HAPPY EATING!!

Here's what I came up with.

I love this cartridge- the images are too cute!

Mustaches = Silly Fun!

Hi Everyone!

Oh my poor neglected blog- I'm sorry I've left you alone all week but I've been making pretty stuff to post all over you.
(And I've been working, and shopping, and reading, and cleaning, and doing countless other things that consume my time!)

Anyway.......

The girlies had a sleep over last week, so I thought it would be fun to make mustaches for all the girls (they think they're funny!).
Unfortunately, by the time I got them done (at midnight!), half the girls were asleep- then I forgot about them the next morning.

Avery and Mackenzie still had fun with them though!

Mustaches cut from "Billionare"
Lettering cut from "Sophisticated" and welded with the Gypsy
Papers: Turquoise, Grey- Pink Paislee, Yellow- Imagine "Hopscotch",
Mustache paper- DCWV
Mustache cut out of Ranger Studio Sticky Back Canvas and colored with Copics
Sentiments: Pink By Design

Thank You Card

Hi Everyone!

I have a lot to be thankful for!
In the last couple weeks I have celebrated Christmas, my Birthday, and New Years- so now it's time to send out the "Thank You" cards.
I have made a ton of cards in the last few days, but this one is by far my favorite!
This is an A2 size card.
I used Art Philosophy for the tag
3 Girl JAM Ice Blue Ribbon
China Blue Disress Ink on the Snowflake Folder before embossing with the Cuttlebug.

I am entering this into a few challenges:
