**Click HERE for Amy Jo's Birthday Bash Blog Hop**

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to the  Pink By Design Kiss Me I'm Irish Blog Hop!
This month the PBD team and some special Guests are inspired by the upcoming Holiday.
Please make sure you start at the beginning of the Hop at the Pink By Design site.  Once you are completely in awe of the fantastic projects you see, we would love for you to link up your own project.
Green, shamrocks, pots of gold...... anything that inspires you is what we want to see!
You don't have to use Pink By Design stamps, but of course we would LOVE to see them in your projects! :0)

I made a banner to hang on my front door.
(My kids tell me it is time to take down the Christmas wreath!  LOL!!)

I used DCWV paper from the Green Tea stack for the green and brown papers.
Cricut carts used:  Elegant Edges (base shape), Paisley (4 leaf clover), Cindy Loo (font).
Sentiment:  Pink By Design
Tied it all together with 3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon from the Irish Flag Package.

Amy Jo's Birthday Bash & Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to Amy Jo's Birthday Bash & Blog Hop! We are so excited you could join us today to help celebrate Amy's birthday!

If you arrived here from Beckie's blog then you are in the right place! If you just happened upon my blog today, please start at the beginning with Amy Jo because you don't want to miss out on the fabulous prizes that are being sponsored!

This is a two-day hop; however, we are only making one project. That should give you two full days to go through the entire hop and leave comments on each blog and become followers of each blog, if you are not already, to be entered to win some of our sponsored prizes! Some blogs may be offering blog candy as well so this is a hop you're gonna wanna finish!

Here is my card and a little 4"x6" notebook that I made for Amy.

I tried to keep both the card and the notebook sweet and simple.  The papers are all from My Minds Eye and the sentiments are both from Pink By Design.
The sparkly ribbon is from my stash and the pink and white Crinkle Ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY!!

Thanks for joining us and helping us celebrate along with Amy!

Hello, Friend

Hi Everyone!
I  am so excited to posting for the first time on the Pink By Design blog!
Today's project is a very simple- and no electronic cutting machine required- card.
I wanted the main focus to be the sentiment from the new Giant Greetings stamp set.
This set has 6 large size greetings to share your thoughts in a BIG way!

Make sure you stop by the PBD blog to see how I made this super easy and super cute (if I do say so myself) card.

Entering in to a few challenges:

Happy Birthday!

Hi Everyone!

It was my Husband's Birthday last week.
We had a very nice and relaxing day.
We met up with Josh's brother for lunch, then did a little shopping.

I made this birthday card for him:

He's kind of "Old School" so I knew he would like it.

I used the Cricut Imagine Good 'Ol Days Cartridge
DCWV Guy Stack for the background paper
and the sentiment is from Pink By Design "Just 4 Men".

Linking this up to Sarah Hamer Designs (Pink Cricut) Link Up Party

Smitten Kitten

Hi Everyone!

I was browsing through some of the Challenge sites that I usually look at and came across some that looked like fun.

Paper Playtime has a challenge to use a sentiment and a pet.  No problem.  I love my cats and had the perfect Pink By Design sentiment from one of their new sets "Just Sayin".

Die Cuttin' Divas also has a Favorite Pets challenge right now.

The Kraft Journal has a challenge to use a "Fantastic Find".  Again- no problem.  I found the Cricut Lite Meow cartridge at Wal-Mart for $10.00 not to long ago and this was a perfect opportunity to use it!

Here's a cutesy card I whipped up!

The card is made out of Kraft Cardstock, polk-a-dot paper is My Mind's Eye, and the other papers are Recollections.

A couple other challenges:

Hi Everyone!

I was so excited today when I saw that my new Pink by Design Stamps came in the mail!!
Of course, one of my daughters had to snatch them out of my hands before I could even look at them.  LOL!!
I wasn't planning on doing any crafting tonight, but Avery pointed to a sentiment and asked if I would make a card for her friend that is moving away.  Tomorrow is their last day of school together.
I headed right to my craft room.

February SOTM
New Release "Just Sayin"

I handed the card to Avery and she smiled and said, "I'm going to have the whole class sign it".
She is such a good friend!
I'm very proud of her.

Valentine's Projects by the Girls

Hi Everyone!

Today is My Girls' Valentine's Day parties at school.
They made their cards for their friends.  (I made them- they signed them!)

Avery was on the Valentine's Day Party Committee and it was her job to put together a "Guessing Jar" as one of the games.
Here's what she came up with.

Yes- I made this too- but she was VERY particular with were the vinyl went, how the bow was tied, and how the burlap was cut.  She counted every single one of those candy hearts too- over 400!

Avery also made her Valentine's Box to take to school.
She decorated this one all by her self.

Mackenzie unfortunately made her box as school, so I haven't got see it yet.
I guess I'll have to wait until after school!

Happy Valentine's Day

Hi Everyone!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We have been so busy making Valentine's Day Cards for school!!
I'll show you the girls' cards on a different post.

What I want to show you today is the card I made for my Husband.

And- the cards I made for my Girls!

These were super easy to make.

I took an 8.5" x 6" piece of cardstock (I used DCWV) and scored it at 4" and 4.5", then turned it and scored at 2".  I folded the score lines and used my ATG to tape the paper to make a little book with pockets.   After the "book" was made, I punched out at 2" scallop and inked the edges and stamped some Pink by Design sentiments on the scallop and on the inside.  I punched some holes along the edge of the book so I could tie it up with some 3 Girl JAM Ribbon.
I added a bottlecap magnet that I made with the same paper from the card/book.  (I also put in some money because one is saving for an IPod and the other is saving for a car- LOL!  They're 10!)

Mixed Media Blog Hop

Welcome to the Mixed Media Blog Hop hosted by Monica at Scraps to Treasure. This hop will not have a long list because it involves a little more work and it is going to broaden everyone's creativity by introducing you to the world of mixed media along with altered art (which a lot of people are familiar with).

For those who may not know what it is: Mixed media uses things like -
  • Paints
  • Gesso
  • Gel Mediums
  • Molding Paste
But it is a simple as using glimmer mist on a tag or using game pieces and alcohol inks.
Everyones' take on it is different and I hope you enjoy all the creations!
.
Here is mine!!
.
I made a tag using manilla kraft paper.  I used Worn Lipstick Distress Ink to color the tag. I cut 2 hearts out of a piece of sticky back canvas.  Then I used Claudine Hellmuth Studio Paint in Red to paint the large heart.  Since I had the paint out, I used some pink paint on my Claudine Hellmuth (LOVE Claudine!) Studio Creative Layers Foam and Clear Stamps.  The foam stamp was done with pink paint while the clear stamp was done with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  I also used a doily, a funky spiral paper clip, and some embellishments from my stash.  I finished the bottom off with some more canvas and tied it up with some 3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon.

I have some Blog Candy for you too!
One follower who comments below will win the Pink and White Bundle of Crinkle Ribbon from 3 Girl JAM.  Another person who "Likes" and comments on 3 Girl JAM's Facebook wall will win the Hot and Cold Bundle of Crinkle Ribbon.

Your next stop is Melissa!

Love Birds

Hi everyone!

Just a quick post today.
The last few days I've been so busy making Crinkle Ribbon and helping my girls make Valentine's Day cards that I haven't had much time to anything else (except work my full time job, do laundry, cook, etc....).

I made this cute little 3x3 card the other day with the Cricut Imagine Good Old Days cartridge.

I printed the image out on canvas (have you seen my canvas notebook?) and stuck it to some pink and blue cardstock.  I stamped "I Love You" right on the canvas.
Easy Peasy!
The Imagine kind of takes the "thinking" of of crafting sometimes (which is a good thing at times!)

Challenges:
Craft Your Passion -Anything goes
My Craft Spot- Valentines Day
Party Time Tuesdays- Valentines Day
More Than Favors- Love

I have an Awesome Kid!

Hi Everyone!

My 10 yr old daughter, Mackenzie, had a school project that I have to share!
The assignment:
to make a diorama of her favorite book.
She disappeared into the craft room and came out with this:

I am so proud of her for doing this all by herself!

Great job Mackenzie!!
