I Can't Think of a Good Title for this Post. :)

Ever since I bought my Cricut, I can't seem to use a regular box or envelope when I have a small gift to give someone.  I made this cute little purse to hold a necklace and some other small notion.

The purse was cut (fit to page) from Forever Young pg. 44.
The flower is from Cindy Loo.  I cut it at 3" and doubled each layer for added dimension.  I attached it with a sparkly brad.
The butterfly can be found on the Hannah Montana cartridge.  Hannah Montana is a cartridge that I thought I'd never use- my 10 year old daughter wanted it- but it actually has some amazing images and fonts!

I am entering my purse in to a few challenges:

Frosted Designs- Birds or Butterflies
Flaunt it Fridays #20- Cindy Loo
MAG Challenge #23- Forever Young pg. 44
Paper Cutz #88- Pink, Blue, Green, Purple, and White
Tuesday Throwdown #46- Brads or Eyelets

Easter Basket Gifts

Hi Everyone!  Happy Easter!!

I've been so busy lately! It's hard to find the time to do the things that I love to do, when I'm so busy doing the things I have to do.  I want to spend my days in my craft room being creative- but that just doesn't happen as often as I'd like.
I did get to do a couple projects today!  I made Easter cards and little purses to hold necklaces that I made for my daughters' Easter baskets.

The purses were cut from Forever Young at 4 inches.
I bought the bottlecap blank charms at Hobby Lobby and cut out a design from the Hippie Chic DCWV stack to fit it inside the cap.  I covered it completely with a thick coating of Glossy Accents.  When it was completely dry (24 hours later), I put the bottlecap and a Tim Holtz Word Sticks Tag onto a necklace "chain" (that I also bought at Hobby Lobby).
Now each of my girls has a new necklace!
The other day I saw some bottlecap charms, in a local store, that were selling for $6 a piece (not including a "chain").  My total cost for both finished necklaces was about $3.50- and my girls Love them!!

Have a very blessed day.  Thanks for stopping by!

Challenge Inspiration

I finally got to do some crafting this morning!  I went through some of the different challenges that were posted today to get some inspiration- and here is the cutesy card that I came up with!!

This is an A6 sized card
The background paper is  GCD Studios
I used the Create A Critter cartridge to cut the Bunny at 2.5", the Caterpillar at 2", the Mushroom at 1", and the Flowers at 1".
The Umbrella is cut from DCWV paper at 3.5" from Forever Young.
The Grass was cut from Plantian Schoolbook at 1".
The sentiment is from Pink By Design "Our Kids"
I used Stickles and Gelly Roll pens to sparkle everything up!

The Challenges that inspired me today are:

Fantabulous Cricut #54- April Showers
My Sheri Crafts Challenge #51- April Showers
Jen's Craft Corner- Bunnies

Forever Young

I love making cards of all shapes and themes- but I really love doing projects that are 3-dimensional.
I absolutely LOVE the Forever Young cartridge!  It has such girlie images- dresses, hats, high heels, lipstick, flowers, and purses- to name a few.
This is by far my favorite cartridge and I am quickly making my way through it!

I used my Expression and used the "Fit to Page" for the purse.
The heels were cut at 2 inches.
I blinged it up with the I-Rock and Gelly Roll glitter pens.
I made the little notebook (to put inside the purse) by trimming regular copy paper for the inside, and using DCWV cardstock for the cover.
I cut the hat at 1.5 inches.
I used my YourStory to bind it.

I plan to do a step-by-step photo or video on how to make your own books with the YourStory-
so watch for that!

I am entering this into a couple challenges:
CCCC # 11- Forever Young

Welcome to the Spring Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Spring Blog Hop, hosted by the very talented Jen from Jen's Craft Corner. If you came here from Linda's stop you are in the right place, if not, make sure you start back at Jen's blog, you won't want to miss a SINGLE stop.

I am very honored to be in the same company with these wonderful and talented ladies, and I appreciate you stopping by.  This is my very first time participating in a Blog Hop, so needless to say, I am very excited!
I made two projects that I 'd like to share, because I am sooo happy that Spring is here (even though it just snowed where I live!)

I made a simple shaped flower card using the Forever Young Cricut cartridge and my Gypsy.
I used Prima flowers and my I-Rock to bling up the card.  The pink flower is stamped with the Pink by Design, Daisy background stamp.  I just got this and am having so much fun with it!

My second project is a Pin-Wheel Flower in a sweet little pot.
I put the pin-wheel together with K&Company paper and used a Prima flower and a brad to attach it to a pencil that I covered in two different green ribbons.  Since the paper was not printed on both sides, I again used the Pink by Design, Daisy background stamp- but this time I colored it in!

I have some blog candy too!  A little bit of bling-- of course!
All you have to do is become a follower, if you aren't already, and leave a comment telling me what your favorite "bling" is.
(A winner will be chosen on Monday.)

Next on your stop is Patti.

Here is today's line up (in case you get lost).  Have Fun!

Color Me Fantabulous

This weeks Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday #49 challenge is to make a shaped card.  I have never made a shape card-- until today!
I love using my Gypsy.  I used it all the time before I really learned all of the functions of the Cricut.  Since I've become more comfortable with my Expression, over the last month, my poor little Gypsy hasn't seen any action.  I think I heard little Gyp sing a happy song when I took her out of the box today.
I am always looking for a way to use my  Inkadinkado "Kid's Quotes" stamp set (since it is one of my favorites), and I am always looking for a way to use my Forever Young cartridge (also one of my favorites).
So....Put them all together and this is what you get!

Thanks for stopping by and for all of the encouraging comments!

Happy Valentine's Day

I also gave them the cards and gifts that I made for them.

The little cards were done with the Create a Critter cartridge.  I used the Zutter Bind It All to make the notebooks (my first attempt with the BIA).  Avery's notebook was blinged out with the Forever Young cart. and the I Rock, and Mackenzie's was done with Twinkle Toes (music notes) and Rock Princess (stars)-- and of course the I Rock!
They LOVED their books (which made me very happy)!

My Pink Stamper Blog Hop

I am playing along with My Pink Stamper tonight.
The challenge is to make a project with Black and your favorite color or colors-  I chose Green, Red, Pink, and Silver.
It is an A2 size card and all of the cuts are from the Forever Young cartridge.  I used Gelly Roll glitter gel pens to add some extra bling.
Hope you like!
