Hi Everyone!
On Monday, I took a Vacation Day (from normal life) and got to spend some good quality time with my self.
If you are able to do it- I highly recommend it. :)
I had time to make (and finish) a couple projects.
Here is one that I am particularly proud of.
I started out with a 12"x24" piece of 1/4" (thick) Birch that I "stained" with Black Soot Distress Ink.
I then used my Gypsy to arrange the words and cut out white vinyl with my Cricut Expression.
It's hanging in my living room right now. :)
I also got to work on something exciting that I'll be sharing in the near future--
so be watching for that news!
Some link up parties going on right now:
Thanks for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteJulie, this is so clever and I LOVE the idea of takng a vacation day for oneself. I feel like my day is over in the blink of an eye and I think WHAT DID I DO TODAY? I think I'm just too plain busy, like most women. (and my hubby works 2 jobs and yet can find time to unwind at night)...thanks for the reminder! Now...off to make a taco salad and hurry on to church....teehee. teelayoung@hotmail.com http://coffee24tea.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job! It looks amazing. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteJulie, your family rules is just awesome! You really did a nice job with it. Glad you had a nice day off. We all need that from time to time. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteJulie, that is so cool, love it. It really looks time consuming. This reminds me of the Cricut cart I bought recently, Word Collage. Ater I opened it, I thought...hmmm...now I could just use the Gypsy and configure my own...but I do like the cart.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great time.
I hope to get out of my crafter's block and post something soon...lol.

Nope - silly me - I'm visiting from A Bowl Full of Lemons. I wonder how many comments I just made with the wrong blog name?
ReplyDeleteAwesome job!! I just got the Word collage cartridge and I am in love with it but I have been thinking of designing my own for a friend who is having a baby. Thanks for the inspiration.
