What I'll be doing All Week!

Hi Everyone!

Yet again, my job is taking over my life this week.
This week, I will be spending my time at the 2011 Iowa State Fair.
(No crafting in the time budget this week- which makes me sad.)

This is the week that I dread all year.

I don't like it, I'm not going to like it, and nobody can make me like it.
I can't exactly explain why I don't like the fair, but if I had my choice of working at the fair (inspecting the 200+ food stands everyday) or setting my hair on fire and putting it out with a sledge hammer--
I'd pick the hammer to the head.
:)

Here's some nice pictures of the Fair...

That's about right!

So this week- when you're cutting, glueing, glittering, and smiling- please think of me and send crafty thoughts my way.

I'll be the one in the Midway with my thermometer stuck in a corn dog!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Oh Julie, you just kill me, girl! This blog about the fair is fabulous...so fun to read. Never knew anyone who hated going to a state fair but now I do. Of course, If I had to spend a whole week there too..I would set my hair on fire too! Hang in there girl and have a corndog on me!

  3. I used to work fairs years ago, and I loved it since it got me out of our store for a week. I can understand though that it might be no fun sticking a thermometer in a corn dog for a week! That pic of the T-shirt literally made me crack up!! I LOVE IT!!!

Good luck and we'll be thinking about you!

  4. Aww Julie... despite your suffering, you sure know how to bring about a giggle (or several)! Maybe you can mentally craft when you see fun scenes or items and instantly think, "Can I Cricut that?!" ;) Seriously though, I'm so sad to hear about your lack of craft time. I've been in a non-crafting stretch and it's so disheartening, isn't it? Persevere, my crafty friend! I've hardly had time to tell you that you make me smile.. but you do. :o) (And the pictures are beautiful.)

    Hugs and blessings! :o)
