I get my Craftiness from my Mom!

Hi Everyone!

Last week I had the privilege of attending my Aunt and Uncle's 50th Wedding Anniversary.

They have always been a part of my life and it was a joy to celebrate with them.

My Mother made the cake for her brother and his wife.

She has made cakes, and tons of other crafty things, for as long as I can remember.

She's even taught me a thing or two.  :0)

Mom asked if I had some gold ribbon that she could use on the cake.

Did I ever!!

She used Gold Crown from the Royal Bundle and it was perfect!

The only thing better than how great the cake looked-

was how it tasted!

(My Mom makes the best cakes ever!!)

Just Because

Hi Everyone!

It is my day to post on the 3 Girl JAM Blog and we are in the middle of an "Anything Goes" Challenge!

I made a quick and easy card that can be used for almost any occasion.  

I used a digi image from Bugaboo Stamps and topped it off with some London Blue ribbon!

I used Spectrum Noir markers to color in the image

(I'm finally figuring out how to blend my colors!!)

Something Different

Hi Everyone!

I was in my new craft room feeling very inspired the other night when I pick up a canvas print a light bulb went off in the 'ol brain.

"I want to paint, and stamp, and use paper, and ribbon, and glue" I thought.

And before I knew it, I had taken an old canvas and turned it into this!

I will admit- the paper (with the house and birds) is DCWV paper.  I did some piecing and did paint and stamp on it- but the beautiful watercolor effect was manufactured (but I won't tell if you don't!)

The flowers were made with canvas paper and 3 Girl JAM Ribbon and painted with Creative Inspiration Paints.  The centers of the flowers have some gorgeous Pinque Peacock embellishments.

I printed out some words and inked and glued them down. And the rest is history.

I love getting my fingers inky and full of paint and glue.

I think I found a new love!
