Hosting a Give-Away to the New Brave Girls’ Club Course, Soul Comfort

Today I have the honor of hosting a giveaway from the gals of the

 Brave Girls Club.

Read through the post and comment with your answer to the question at the end and you could win a spot in the new eCourse:  Soul Comfort (a $99.00 value!)

Sometimes, as a mother, a wife, an employee, a friend, a woman- we tend to forget to take care of ourselves.

Life can be simple.

What if we celebrated the brave act of….taking a break?
What if simplicity,
comfort, and quiet were the goal?
What if there really was a way to quiet the chatter in our minds and let us recharge our body & soul?
And what if it was fun, too?

Introducing a new eCourse . . .

Soul Comfort
Soul Comfort is a fresh new concept using art and journaling as a means to relax and comfort yourself and to get grounded while dealing with the craziness of every-day living.
This course if full of beautiful projects to fuel your creativity in very simple and easy ways that are meditational and relaxing , beautiful comforting things that will have your soul infused into them so that you want to keep them forever.
Brave Girls Club - Melody RossMelody (course creator and teacher) says, “I want to teach you some new habits of creativity mixed with simplicity that I have learned over the years. Being a recovering hoarder of supplies and techniques, this is really a new way to give yourself permission to do things simply but beautifully.
One of the most wonderful things about this course is that everything fits into one fabric tote bag . . . I wanted to create a whole course where all of the supplies fit into a tiny space so that you could take it everywhere you go…so that you could do it sitting on your bed, on your couch, with your family, do it with your children, in the car, wherever your day takes you. It’s incredible. This has changed my life. This has been something that I have used on my own and I can’t wait to share it with you.”
Brave Girls Club - Soul Comfort - Melody, Patrice, Kathy

You can count on this class to be . . .

Brave Girls Club - Soul Comfort Stitchery
We’ve worked to narrow down things to quench the yearning of your soul…to be able to be creative but also to be sensitive to the mess that it makes and the time that it takes as well as the brain space it takes for complicated tools and  techniques. We will teach you fun ways to make beautiful things while relaxing yourself . . .and we’ll be participating in the class right along with you.
  • This will be relaxing, fun, and simple
  • You’ll be able to take it along with you, everywhere you go
  • Instead of overwhelming you with one  more thing to stress out about, this eCourse will help you relax, enjoy, and feel comfort and peace no matter what else is going on in your life.

  6. Soul Comfort to me is calmness, peace, a quiet moment, a deep breathe and in general a good feeling. This past year has not been easy to find this and I have had a hard time getting back to creating. I hope this class can get me back to that "happy" creative place.

  16. This sounds wonderful. I love the Brave Girls Club and what they represent. I've always wanted to go there IRL. Soul comfort -- definitely creating: getting inky, getting lost in my head while creating with ink, and paper, and ribbon (of course ;)

  18. Just finishing up with Soul Restoration eCourse... so Soul Comfort would be the next best thing to do for myself. 19. When I hear the words soul comfort I think of being deeply rooted to myself and connected to myself in a way that nobody can disturb. In is an internal, powerful silence that I can carry with me wherever I go, providing myself comfort and carrying without anyone seeing or noticing if need be, or providing myself with comfort and care and not being ashamed to show it. Thanks for the opportunity.

  20. With each blog that I visit I get a little more excited about certain points that jump out at me that I may have missed before. You almost need to read about it a dozen times to really see all the goodness in this class. I love your answer to the question, and also your sweet bird art!
When I think of Soul Comfort, I think of that moment when I feel loved, protected, and at peace. Peace is seriously lacking right now. I would want to take this class to learn how to find a place of peace and rest among all the turmoil around me. Thank you for this opportunity to take this class. Winning this class would be the only way I could take it right now.

  22. When I think of Soul Comfort, I realize that it has only been in terms of something that someone else needed and it was my responsibility and my job to provide it to them (in family and in my career). As an Oncology Nurse I have always seen the need to provide to my patients and families comfort in the most devastating times of their lives...through their diagnosis, treatment and other heartbreaking times they struggle with. In my personal life, I've struggled with having an aging mother who worked her entire life for her children only to lose most of them. Being the 'single one' (no kids or spouse), I fill in the void for her as much as possible.
I have recently lost my job of 20 years and I feel so lost…so broken and unsure of what to do.
With the help of very special friends in my life and special Brave Girl Sisters I have realized that what I really need is Soul Comfort of my own. I have given enough and fed enough souls for now without having my own soul fed.

You can only give what you have.
It is the time right now for me to feed my soul before I can journey on to what it is meant for me next. Thank you for providing this opportunity to those that need it most….good luck Braves and hope to meet you in Soul Comfort.

  23. For me, soul comfort is an opportunity to nourish and nurture the core of who I am and what I am to others, I am mother, wife, friend, daughter, sister..... In many if these role my job is to nurture and support others. As much as it is a blessing to be everything to everyone, it is very easy to lose who you are to yourself. I turn to comfort foods and items (I.e. a warm fuzzy bathrobe), I look for comfort in the arms of my partner and friends, in the security that my children are safely tucked in at night, but it is harder to turn to what truly feeds my soul.... Creativity, art, time to explore who I am irrespective of the other influences in my life. The opportunity to participate in the soul comfort e class will enable me to put myself first, if even for a little while. It offers the opportunity to be disciplined and inspired in the feeding of my creative spirit, who to me is truly the essence of who I am. Thank you for this opportunity.

  26. I have always naturally felt the need to take care of my family first. I was an only child, took care of my parents as they aged, took care of my 6 children as a single parent. Taking care of myself is very foreign concept to me, even now as a senior person. Life is chaotic, even now, having peace and calm in my life would be a Comfort to my Soul. I think this holiday season will be no different unless I learn a way to simplify and create calm in my life. Thank you for this opportunity! Kay P.

  27. When I think of Soul Comfort I think of taking care of myself and doing things for me. I think of peace, tranquility, joy, art and journaling. This year has been a horrible year and I would love to take Soul Comfort if I get the chance to win a spot in the class. I haven't done anything for myself in a long time and it's well overdue. I need to find some peace in my life and take care of myself. I need a sense of calmness.

  32. When I think of Soul Comfort I think of sitting back with a nice cup of tea in total peace, enjoying the quiet and NOT feeling guilty because I sat down for 10 minutes. I am always on the go and I never do much for myself and when I am just exhausted, sitting down to relax just meakes me feel guilty and I sit there thinking of all the things that I should be doing.
I need to slow down, relax, put my needs out front every now and then, commit to time to myself, saying no.....
    Thank you

  37. To me, soul comfort means not having a worry in the world, being at peace, and acceptance, with myself. If there is a course I dearly need, it's this one! I am frustrated by my physical disability, that I have been chosen to care for my aging parents, and that I live on Disability, which isn't much. I could never afford to pay for this course, so I'm praying that I win:)
