Hosting a Give-Away to the New Brave Girls’ Club Course, Soul Comfort

Today I have the honor of hosting a giveaway from the gals of the

 Brave Girls Club.

Read through the post and comment with your answer to the question at the end and you could win a spot in the new eCourse:  Soul Comfort (a $99.00 value!)

Sometimes, as a mother, a wife, an employee, a friend, a woman- we tend to forget to take care of ourselves.

Life can be simple.

What if we celebrated the brave act of….taking a break?
What if simplicity,
comfort, and quiet were the goal?
What if there really was a way to quiet the chatter in our minds and let us recharge our body & soul?
And what if it was fun, too?

Introducing a new eCourse . . .

Soul Comfort
Soul Comfort is a fresh new concept using art and journaling as a means to relax and comfort yourself and to get grounded while dealing with the craziness of every-day living.
This course if full of beautiful projects to fuel your creativity in very simple and easy ways that are meditational and relaxing , beautiful comforting things that will have your soul infused into them so that you want to keep them forever.
Brave Girls Club - Melody RossMelody (course creator and teacher) says, “I want to teach you some new habits of creativity mixed with simplicity that I have learned over the years. Being a recovering hoarder of supplies and techniques, this is really a new way to give yourself permission to do things simply but beautifully.
One of the most wonderful things about this course is that everything fits into one fabric tote bag . . . I wanted to create a whole course where all of the supplies fit into a tiny space so that you could take it everywhere you go…so that you could do it sitting on your bed, on your couch, with your family, do it with your children, in the car, wherever your day takes you. It’s incredible. This has changed my life. This has been something that I have used on my own and I can’t wait to share it with you.”
Brave Girls Club - Soul Comfort - Melody, Patrice, Kathy

My answer:
"Soul Comfort" is creating.
Whether it is taking a thought and turning it into something that can be seen and shared with others, or seeing the smiles and laughter on the faces of my two greatest creations:
My Soul finds comfort in Creating.

  1. Wow, sounds like a great course. Thank you for the opportunity to win. I agree, soul comfort is creating. It's those moments when I'm not worrying about all life's little issues and instead taking a breath and just being.

  2. I've never of this course before but it sounds amazing. Soul Comfort to me is being in my creative space and letting all the everyday stresses go...and just creating..and the bonus is sharing the creation with a loved one.

  3. This sounds WONDERFUL...your project is lovely!

  4. Soul Comfort --- a place of comfort to help me learn within myself how to make all my journeys in life and my perspective
as clear and rewarding as possible. And to know that when the soul is comforted so is day in and day out - encounters in life!

  5. My soul needs to re bloom after 3 years of grieving..I have not created or done anything for myself in a very long time! Help!

  6. Soul Comfort to me is calmness, peace, a quiet moment, a deep breathe and in general a good feeling. This past year has not been easy to find this and I have had a hard time getting back to creating. I hope this class can get me back to that "happy" creative place.

  7. Soul Comfort to me is creating at my own pace which I have a problem with now since I create for the public, I hope this class can get me back to my own pace of things, Thank you for the opportunity , I hope one day I am in the position to do the same ,

  8. Lounging on fluffy pillows, curled up soaking up love from the One who made me with the love of my life next to me. Holding a nice cup of something hot.

  9. To me Soul Comfort = PEACE, TRANQUILITY, and JOY, but most of all feeling SAFE.

  10. Soul comfort is quiet and warm coffee,my puppy laying against me, calm during the holiday season. Thank you so much for the chance to win!

  11. The words "soul comfort" to me reveal a sense of inner peace and well-being. It seems to infer an intangible contentedness that has nothing to do with life's circumstances.

  12. I think of simple peace and quiet solitude with a pretty mug of hot tea!

  13. When I think of Soul Comfort, I think of warmth and breath and awareness of each days bliss.

  14. peace and hope that everything is going to be all right!

  15. To me, Soul Comfort is an unrushed afternoon of creating something good - whether its food or artwork. Soul comfort keeps your creativity blossoming. Thank you so much for the chance to win a spot!

  16. This sounds wonderful. I love the Brave Girls Club and what they represent. I've always wanted to go there IRL. Soul comfort -- definitely creating: getting inky, getting lost in my head while creating with ink, and paper, and ribbon (of course ;)

  17. Soul comfort – a Divinely-inspired peace and serenity that warms ones heart from the inside out.

I am so full of joy and gratitude for the Brave Girls group and your willingness to host their contest!! You play an important role in spreading the yummy inspiring goodness of Brave Girls Club!

    Again thanks for hosting!

  18. Just finishing up with Soul Restoration eCourse... so Soul Comfort would be the next best thing to do for myself. Soul Comfort makes me think of a newborn baby who has all of it's needs met, nurtured, comforted and feeling safe. Would love to embody some of those feelings for myself through Soul Comfort eCourse. Thanks for hosting this wonderful giveaway!

  19. When I hear the words soul comfort I think of being deeply rooted to myself and connected to myself in a way that nobody can disturb. In is an internal, powerful silence that I can carry with me wherever I go, providing myself comfort and carrying without anyone seeing or noticing if need be, or providing myself with comfort and care and not being ashamed to show it. Thanks for the opportunity.

  20. With each blog that I visit I get a little more excited about certain points that jump out at me that I may have missed before. You almost need to read about it a dozen times to really see all the goodness in this class. I love your answer to the question, and also your sweet bird art!
When I think of Soul Comfort, I think of that moment when I feel loved, protected, and at peace. Peace is seriously lacking right now. I would want to take this class to learn how to find a place of peace and rest among all the turmoil around me. Thank you for this opportunity to take this class. Winning this class would be the only way I could take it right now.

  21. Soul comfort is taking time for self care. Doing things that make me smile and soothe my soul. Even something as simple as a cup of tea. Thank you very much for this chance.

    1. Thank you Julie! Saw my name posted on brave girls, so surprised and excited. Thank you again for hostessing!

  22. When I think of Soul Comfort, I realize that it has only been in terms of something that someone else needed and it was my responsibility and my job to provide it to them (in family and in my career). As an Oncology Nurse I have always seen the need to provide to my patients and families comfort in the most devastating times of their lives...through their diagnosis, treatment and other heartbreaking times they struggle with. In my personal life, I've struggled with having an aging mother who worked her entire life for her children only to lose most of them. Being the 'single one' (no kids or spouse), I fill in the void for her as much as possible.
I have recently lost my job of 20 years and I feel so lost…so broken and unsure of what to do.
With the help of very special friends in my life and special Brave Girl Sisters I have realized that what I really need is Soul Comfort of my own. I have given enough and fed enough souls for now without having my own soul fed.

You can only give what you have.
It is the time right now for me to feed my soul before I can journey on to what it is meant for me next. Thank you for providing this opportunity to those that need it most….good luck Braves and hope to meet you in Soul Comfort.

  23. For me, soul comfort is an opportunity to nourish and nurture the core of who I am and what I am to others, I am mother, wife, friend, daughter, sister..... In many if these role my job is to nurture and support others. As much as it is a blessing to be everything to everyone, it is very easy to lose who you are to yourself. I turn to comfort foods and items (I.e. a warm fuzzy bathrobe), I look for comfort in the arms of my partner and friends, in the security that my children are safely tucked in at night, but it is harder to turn to what truly feeds my soul.... Creativity, art, time to explore who I am irrespective of the other influences in my life. The opportunity to participate in the soul comfort e class will enable me to put myself first, if even for a little while. It offers the opportunity to be disciplined and inspired in the feeding of my creative spirit, who to me is truly the essence of who I am. Thank you for this opportunity.

  24. I want to be able to create an inner peace simplicity and calm when my life is the total opposite. I love BG classes they are life changing

  25. When I hear the words "soul comfort" I think of a peace that passes all understanding.

  26. I have always naturally felt the need to take care of my family first. I was an only child, took care of my parents as they aged, took care of my 6 children as a single parent. Taking care of myself is very foreign concept to me, even now as a senior person. Life is chaotic, even now, having peace and calm in my life would be a Comfort to my Soul. I think this holiday season will be no different unless I learn a way to simplify and create calm in my life. Thank you for this opportunity! Kay P.

  27. When I think of Soul Comfort I think of taking care of myself and doing things for me. I think of peace, tranquility, joy, art and journaling. This year has been a horrible year and I would love to take Soul Comfort if I get the chance to win a spot in the class. I haven't done anything for myself in a long time and it's well overdue. I need to find some peace in my life and take care of myself. I need a sense of calmness.

  28. I forgot to put my email address at the bottom of my post just now:

  29. Soul comfort to me means enjoying the simple things. To really feel and experience the everyday things.

  30. I think of butterflies, rest, quiet and stillness with God!!

    Thank you!!

  31. Soul comfort is being comfortable and accepting of who I am, my beliefs, talents and abilities, as well as my limitations.

  32. When I think of Soul Comfort I think of sitting back with a nice cup of tea in total peace, enjoying the quiet and NOT feeling guilty because I sat down for 10 minutes. I am always on the go and I never do much for myself and when I am just exhausted, sitting down to relax just meakes me feel guilty and I sit there thinking of all the things that I should be doing.
I need to slow down, relax, put my needs out front every now and then, commit to time to myself, saying no.....
    Thank you

  33. Soul Comfort means being at peace with myself and my life. It means quiet time. It means rest. It means love.

  34. To listen to your inner voice and to acknowledge your truth.

  35. I think of self-acceptance, grace and peace.

  36. Knowing that at this moment and in this time all is right.

  37. To me, soul comfort means not having a worry in the world, being at peace, and acceptance, with myself. If there is a course I dearly need, it's this one! I am frustrated by my physical disability, that I have been chosen to care for my aging parents, and that I live on Disability, which isn't much. I could never afford to pay for this course, so I'm praying that I win:)

  38. To me, soul comfort is learning to find peace in a crazy, busy life. And finding what brings me that peace. I love photography and playing in my art journal but unfortunately, I don't often allow myself time to just play.

  39. The words soul comfort give me a warm feeling that all is or will be well with me and my family. I can claim that!! I need to say it is true!

Thank you, Julie, for hosting this giveaway!!

  40. Soul comfort brings peace and stillness to the soul in a busy world full of noise and change. Thanks for this chance!

  41. "Soul Comfort" is doing something that brings me some peace on the inside when it feels as though the rest of the world is falling apart around me.

  42. Soul Comfort: nurturing the innermost parts of you
Thanks for the chance to win!
