I made a special card for my Mom for Mother's Day.
I credit my mother for my love of all things crafty. My Mom can do just about anything and I have always admired her for that! No joke- she can do almost everything, and if there happens to be something that she doesn't know how to do- she takes it as an opportunity to learn something new.
My Mother is a phenomenal seamstress- she is "sew" fabulous! This is one quality that I never truly appreciated about her when I was young. I wish I had learned this skill when she tried to teach me years ago. She has a sewing machine that she wants to give me- so I may use it as an opportunity to learn something new. :)
I used the Nifty Fifties cartridge for the image and DCWV "All About Girls" stack for the background paper.
I am submitting this to Getting Kricky With K Andrews Simply Sunday Challenge: Sew Fabulous.
Thanks for stopping by!
What a great card, Julie!
ReplyDeleteGreat card! I love the sewing machine image!
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous card! I love the way the colours stand out with the black shadows. That looks so sharp! How wonderful that your mother is such an inspiration to you. Definitely take her up on the sewing machine offer!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for participating in the "Sew Fabulous" challenge at Getting Cricky!
