Hi Everyone!
I hope your weekend was wonderful! Mine was great!!
Saturday morning my husband and I put up new curtains in our living room. They turned out beautifully! I feel like we finally have an "adult" living room. (Now if we could just keep the kids out of it- LOL!)
Saturday afternoon, I spent several hours taking a class at my local scrapbook store- Memory Bound Scrapbook. I LOVE this store. Everytime I go, there is something new. The store is big and organized and the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. I could spend hours there!
The class I took was called " A Taste of Home Recipe Album". We made a cute 6"x6" album, using Kaiser Craft products, to hold recipes. The instructor, Janet, was wonderful and the other ladies in the class were so much fun!
I have to write up some recipes now and add them to the album. I also plan to make a couple more for Christmas gifts.
I have never made anything like this before. I was so proud of myself!
I took a Cricut class about 6 months ago, but have never taken any other type of crafting class. I was nervous to go because I'm really shy around people I don't know. The funny thing is- once I got there, I felt totally comfortable with the people around me. We all had a bond and a love for crafting and I felt right at home. If you're like me (very shy in social situations), I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and take a class or get involved in a crafting group. I am definitely going to try to find a group that I can get involved with- and take more classes.
I'm hooked!
Thanks for stopping by!
Nice card...hehe! It cracks me up every time! Looks like it was a really fun class! I LOVE the tag on the cookbook! They will make very nice gifts! I'm shy in real life too! It takes a bit for me to open up (which is why this bloggy thing amazes me, I'm such a blabber mouth here..hehe)! Congrats on your adult living room! I hope to get one of those again someday! I'm sick of using an oversized plush My Little Pony for an accent pillow on the couch! Have a good night!
ReplyDeleteYour recipe album turned out great. The class sounds like it was lots of fun. I wish I had a scrapbook store near me so I could take some classes.
