Hi Everyone!
Welcome to the Simply Sunday Challenge with Getting Cricky with K Andrew.
Today's challenge is Penned: Using pens in your project.
Summertime always makes me think of the 4th of July and the 4th of July makes me think of the American Flag.I was very excited about this challenge because I love to doodle and draw and I love gel pens!
I however, do Not like to draw with gel pens because I am a perfectionist with my drawing and you can Not erase gel pen ink!
So my friends, the fabulous Cricut to the rescue.....
I used my new Amy Chomas gel pens and gel pen holder for my Cricut Expression to draw out this cute American flag from the Cricut Lite Cupcake Wrapper cartridge.
I started out with some plain white cardstock and used a charcoal colored gel pen for the drawing and some muted markers were added for color on the design.
The red and blue background was cut from the Elegant Edges cartridge.
The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs Splashtastic Summer stamp set.
So everyone- use your imagination and creativity- grab a pen and join the fun!

Julie, loving your card. Perfect for this time of year...July 4th right around the corner.
ReplyDeleteI use the Cricut Markers a lot. I will draw then cut, only thing is...have to be very careful when switching out the marker and the blade. Amy's tool would make it much easier. It's like doodling with your Cricut...lol. Thanks for the inspiration.
Take care!
